System Center 2012 Service Manager Component Add-ons And Extensions For Windows The Microsoft System Center 2012 Service Manager component add-ons and extensions package enables the creation of highly-automated systems to streamline the deployment, monitoring, and management of your service desk, IT Service Management, and IT Operations Center solutions. I have more, some are for windows 2008 to 2012 but this is all new to me, including some of the stuff you mentioned, but none of the GUI stuff that they mentioned that has been available for some time is there, which is a shame I guess. I don't see any option to install the monitoring agent or agent auto-update through the GUI? I use the auto-updater to update agents, and it does it in the background. Also, I don't see any option to add new agents through the GUI, if that's what you mean. It's actually possible, though. You need to download a MSI (Windows Installer) file, and then you can double-click it to install it. Once the agent is installed, it will start automatically. Also, you can add agents through the command-line interface. It's really easy, actually. I used to do that all the time. For example, I'd create a batch file to install an agent from the command-line. I'd then include that batch file in the event handler, so that it would execute automatically, every time the server came back up. On top of that, the Service Manager automatically runs the "Update-SCCMAutoUpdateAgent" batch file for you, every 5 minutes. I'm not sure if you want the GUI or not. It's more than likely a bad idea to install this software from the GUI. As for installing the monitoring agent, it is a little more complicated. You can do it manually. You need to create a MSI file first, and then you have to manually install the agent. I'm sure there are plenty of videos on YouTube for how to do that. I do it all the time. I think that would be a huge benefit for some folks. The way it works is that whenever your Service Manager agent comes back online, it starts the Service Manager agent's agent. You then just connect to the web portal and start your management of it. (A) I installed the agent on my Windows 2008r2 server using the command-line, but now it won't come back online unless I do a remote reboot.
